GOOD NEIGHBORS AWARD:
The Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation and the Omaha World-Herald have announced the 68th annual Good Neighbor Award recipients.

The awards recognize individuals from Nebraska and western Iowa who have performed neighborly acts and deeds unselfishly without personal gain. award winners were recognized at their local county fairs with a certificate and Good Neighbor lapel pin.

Ak-Sar-Ben Good Neighbor Award recipients include Gary and Terresa Bilava, Fremont; James and Alice Dam, Hooper; Ronald Grass, Tekamah; Mark and Jill Johnson, Oakland; Jack Klocke and Bob Moser, North Bend; Scott Olson, Tekamah; Bob and Charlotte Rasumussen, Herman; Joseph Sklenar, Tekamah; Sandy Eikmeier and Becky Stecher, Dodge; Connie Vernon, Tekamah; and Dennis Wells, Fremont.
Sandy Eikmeier and Becky Stecher, Dodge: Sandy and Becky were co-chairman for the Dodge 125th celebration. They worked hard planning numerous events including the opening ceremonies, parades, street dances, food and lunch stands, carnivals and more. They found sponsors for the events and helped organize the volunteers.
